March 10 was marked on the calendar by every Sixers fan as it indicated the return of Ben Simmons for the first time since the beginning of 2021-22 season. With the toxicity between the two parties already being displayed and made well aware to every and each NBA fanatic, home fans took their chance to embarrass the Australian play-maker.

Not only was Ben Simmons booed by the home fans at Wells Fargo Center but did not slow-down their voice whilst the Nets star began taking shots on court.

Ben Simmons returns to Philly with Brooklyn Nets

This is hilarious. Nets star guard Ben Simmons walked the ball toward the hoop and standing directly under the basket, dunked the ball as warmups went on. Sixers fans proceeded to cheer Simmons sarcastically for his completed dunk. Philadelphia 76ers fans probably had visions of that easy basket Simmons had in the playoffs last year against the Atlanta Hawks, when he passed up the ball, to the chagrin of Philly fans. Hence the sarcastic applause, which was a very creative way to troll the Nets guard.

That being said, Ben Simmons is not in action against his former team and is yet to step on the court for him new team. With just over 15 games remaining, Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving led Nets are trying to throw the kitchen sink at securing the playoff berth. Will the Australian professional come out and help his new teammates? Remains to be seen.

For now, all eyes will be at the matchup in Wells Fargo Center, as there is plethora of stars among whom bad-blood has been rumored or witnessed. Be it James Harden and Kyrie Irving, or Joel Embiid or Kevin Durant, the individual showdowns are surely going to be a treat to watch.

Both teams making the rest of the NBA aware about their championship desires in the 2021-22 season itself, it would be interesting to see which team among these two Eastern Conference Giant can come out victorious.
