Paul George is back with another episode of his podcast, Podcast with P, this time the show is hosted by Las Vegas Aces’ forward A’ja Wilson chopping up on LeBron’s retirement rumours.

LeBron after getting swept by the Jokic-led Denver Nuggets in the Conference Finals relayed a shocking update on his retirement status. After a long and decorated career that spans 20 seasons long the King sent shockwaves through the NBA world as he is considering retirement, James replying to a reporter said: “Going forward with the game of basketball, I’ve got a lot to think about.”

The guys on the Podcasts were stirring up a conversation about if LeBron could make a comeback if he decided to retire as the one Michael Jordan did back in 1993, A’ja Wilson had a perfect take on the situation stating: “we’re doing exactly what he want us to do, just talk about it … Let it linger, got us right where he wanted.” Paul George also added his opinion on whether if LeBron should consider a return from retirement(hypothetically) to join forces with Bronny: “He’s only what … 38? … Even if he took a year off, MJ came back at what 40? Still getting 50s and 60s, I think Bron can do it.”

LeBron James this season still proves to be one of the better players in the league after scoring 40 points against the Nuggets in the Game 4 blowout loss, he will be entering his 21st season this upcoming season if he decides to suit up to hit the hardwood, whether he re-signs with the Lakers or not the future looks bleak for NBA and LeBron fans alike as father time is catching up to The King and a season without LeBron is much sooner than later.

Will LeBron James ever be on the SAME team as Bronny?

The idea of a Father-Son duo gracing the same hardwood floor is an exciting prospect all NBA fans want to see. The probability of LeBron James being on the same floor let alone the same team with Bronny seems like a farfetched collaboration with LeBron nearing retirement, but the chances are never zero.

Bronny James after an impressive senior year campaign in Sierra Canyon High School plans to join USC for his collegiate career, after a season with USC he is likely to declare for the 2024 NBA draft. Considering his draft stock and compiling it with his fame and poise he is set to be a first-round pick in the draft.

The only possible way for James to pair up with his son is to force a trade to join whichever team will draft him. LeBron still has his contract of $97.1million extension with the Lakers that is valid through 2024-25 season which makes a trade tricky for the Lakers as there won’t be too many teams to take on a heavy contract of an ageing superstar in case a three or four-team trade is required.

Although LeBron had expressed his desire to play with Bronny the likelihood of them playing together depends on many factors like cap situation, which team drafts Bronny and LeBron’s timetable for his retirement. If the stars align right, we might see the greatest Father-son duo in all of sports.
