“Joel Embiid isn’t even the most valuable player in his team” – MVP result UPSETS NBA Twitter, claim Nikola Jokic deserved to win
NBA fans react to Embiid winning MVP

Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic
Joel Embiid is the NBA MVP for the 2022-23 season. The Philadelphia 76ers center beat out Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic, and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo for the award, which was announced on Tuesday night by the “NBA on TNT” crew.
Embiid had a monster season, leading the league in scoring with 33.1 points per game and adding 10.2 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. He shot 54.8 percent from the field and 38.4 percent from three-point range while also making 86.9 percent of his free throws. He was the driving force behind the 76ers’ success, as they finished with a 54-28 record and the third seed in the Eastern Conference.
But while Embiid celebrated his MVP trophy, Jokic, and Harden fans were not ready to concede that he was the best player in the league. Jokic, who won the MVP award last season, had another stellar season for the Nuggets. The now-former MVP averaged 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 9.8 assists.
Jokic did all this while carrying the Nuggets to the top seed in the Western Conference. Jokic’s fans argued that he deserved to win his third-straight MVP, as he was more durable, versatile, and efficient than Embiid.
Nikola Jokic fans argue Joel Embiid is not even the best player on his team

Jokic fans argued that James Harden is more valuable to the 76ers than Embiid, as he makes his teammates better and creates more scoring opportunities for himself and others. They also claimed that Harden is a better leader and clutch player than Embiid, who has struggled with injuries and inconsistency in his career.
Harden, who joined the 76ers in a blockbuster trade from the Brooklyn Nets, has been a game-changer for his new team. He averaged 21 points, 10.7 assists, and 6.1 rebounds per game in the regular season, forming a dynamic duo with Embiid.
Here is what had to say on Twitter:
Harden has been even better in the playoffs, averaging 22.8 points, 6.3 assists, and 5.5 rebounds per game. He scored a playoff career-high 45 points in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Boston Celtics, including a clutch three-pointer that gave the 76ers the lead with 8.4 seconds left.
So while Embiid may have won the MVP award for the 2022-23 season, he still has some competition from Jokic and Harden, who are not willing to give up their claim to being the best player in the league. The Sixers will try to take a 2-0 series lead when they are hosted by Celtics again on Wednesday night.
