According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, “Green attempted a swing and made contact with Poole,” prompting team officials to investigate the incident. After Green apologized Thursday, Warriors general manager Bob Myers told reporters that the organization will handle Green’s punishment internally and that there will likely be no ban that would prevent the Michigan State product from playing.
“JP has been fantastic,” Curry remarked. “Nothing happened yesterday that justified the circumstances. That is something I want to emphasize. It’s also something we don’t think will ruin our season, and that includes Draymond.” The fact that the argument occurred between Poole and Green is significant since both of their long-term contract situations with the team remain uncertain.
