“Two motherfu**ers on the team” $60 Million Warriors legend gives an honest reality check for all those who aspire to fill into Stephen Curry’s shoes
Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry and many other NBA stars are some great irreplaceable talents and they have worked for everything they have on their name today. Just making jumpers and being good from downtown won’t let anyone a deal in the league even though that’s exactly what we know Chef for. But what many of us don’t know is thousands of hours where guys like Stephen Curry work their heart and soul out going through suicides, systems, drills, practice, conditioning, running, working out, lifting weights and what not. So for many fans around, the passage to make it to the league is an easy one. But believe me, that’s not how things work in the league and even a bench warmer or a role player is way more better than what we see him as.
Everyone who knows ball has a dream of making it to the league one day and suiting up with their favorite stars like Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo and others. But not many put in that level of hard work and stay committed with the right dedication. Thanks to Draymond Green, who recently appeared at Rico Hines system for a great workout and ended up giving out some basketball wisdom to everyone in attendance. As all of them present in the gym were certified hoopers trying to get into the professional zone of the game. Draymond Green explained them how the league isn’t about superstars and how role players run it. The former DPOY talked about the necessary work ethic and role identification.

Draymond Green explains to the campers at Rico Hines workout about Role identification while differentiating guys like Stephen Curry out
Draymond Green talking with the campers and explaining to them the importance of their role in the league while differentiating guys like Stephen Curry out quoted: “At the end of the day, motherf**kers gotta play a role in the NBA. It’s 2 motherf**kers on the team that can do what the f**k they wanna do. And 13 other motherf**kers that gotta play a role. So you’re going to either master your role or you’re going to get the f–k out. And it’s just that simple… Maybe just 10 people in here take it seriously why because you think you’re done but you won’t make it to the end. That’s hard as f*ck…”
Stephen Curry was surely one of the two guys Draymond hinted at. But the road for him and his spot is way more tough than the role one. And, most importantly every single word said by Green was straight facts without a doubt. As making it to the end is really tough and most of the guys in the race already give up on it. So stay committed to your dream fellas and as Great Kobe Bryant said, “Rest at the end, not in the middle”.
