Charles Barkley and Aaron Rodgers

Golf and NBA are two intertwined sports, ever since Michael Jordan made golfing popular among the NBA Community in the 90’s. Charles Barkley and Aaron Rodgers are just one of the many star-studded ensemble of athletes and celebrities taking part in the American Century Championship at the Edgewood Golf Course. However good Aaron Rodgers is, this time it’s personal between him and Charles Barkley as Aaron’s hair is on the line, literally.

Charles Barkley, the 11 time All-Star, is one of the most popular analysts on television. His time on ‘Inside The NBA’ has been riddled with hearty conversations and spicy debates, specially with ‘Big Shaq’. ‘Inside the NBA’ is one of the remarkable and relevant shows to follow if you’re a basketball and NBA fan. The super combo of Ernie JohnsonKenny Smith,  Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal makes the show a treat to watch. For most of the regular fans, the show is a must watch on the days it airs, as ‘Big Chuck’ provides the entertainment your day needs.

Sir Charles Barkley lead the Suns to the NBA Finals while winning the MVP award during the regular season that same year, falling short to the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls for the NBA title in 1993. He was a member of and the leading scorer for the original Dream Team basketball team in the Barcelona Summer Olympics in 1992, alongside Jordan, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, which resulted in a gold medal. He was named to the NBA’S 50 Greatest Players team in honor of the league’s 50th anniversary. Arguably one of the game’s most charismatic figures, he retired and has gone on to be a one of the sports media’s best and sometimes controversial analysts on NBA on TNT.

The ACC is a made-for-TV event that pits some of the biggest American celebrities against each other. There will be a total of 52 celebrities participating this year. Some of those names this year include Patrick Mahomes, Stephen Curry, CC Sabathia. A bet with Charles Barkley puts Rodgers’ hair on the line during this weekend’s tournament. If Barkley finishes ahead of him, Rodgers said he’ll let the former NBA star cut off his man bun. Given Barkley’s history of finishing near the bottom of the tournament, he will need to golf a game of his life time. Last year, he came in 76th of 88 golfers, which was his best finish in years.

“Just because you’re too cheap to cut your hair, you can’t make it a style,” Barkley joked during an appearance in Reno, Nevada, last month to promote the American Century Championship. “Man, here’s $25. Go down to Fantastic Sam’s and get that thing cut off the back of your head. Just because you don’t cut your hair, that’s not a style. But Aaron’s a much better golfer than me, but I’ll be happy to give a donation to his charity.” Charles Barkley explained his annoyance with the man bun.

Charles Barkley is known to be a big hater of the man bun. Andy, the stage manager of ‘Inside the NBA on TNT’ came to work sporting a man bun. When he left, he was $1000 wealthier – but immediately needed a trip to a real salon after Charles Barkley chopped off his hair. “America if you see a friend, just hold them down and cut their damn hair. A man bun is not a thing.” Charles said. If Sir Charles plays worse, he will donate $25,000 to the North Valley Community Foundation of the Green Bay superstar, looks like we have ourselves a showdown here, after which hopefully Rodgers gets to keep his hair .
