Adam Sandler has high praise for Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards was the number-one pick in the 2020 NBA draft. Almost four years after getting drafted into the NBA, he has been thriving as the Minnesota Timberwolves guard. The star man is having an amazing season and is also receiving a lot of praise from important personalities in the NBA world. However, it seems like NBA stars are not the only ones who have admiration for the young player.

Hollywood star Adam Sandler saw the 22-year-old’s potential back in 2022. The American actor talked about Anthony Edwards during an episode of ‘All the Smoke’ with Kevin Garnett. Edwards starred in a movie produced by Sandler called ‘Hustle’. Sandler who also acted in the film, praised the athlete for his performance, referring to Edwards as funny and adding that the star has an ‘amazing’ personality.

Back in December 2023, Edwards appeared on the ‘Boardroom’ podcast. During the episode, Edwards talked about his co-star Adam Sandler. The athlete started by thanking Sandler for casting him in the film. Further, the podcast’s host, Rich Kleiman asked about the actor’s basketball skills. Edwards hilariously gave an honest answer. He quipped:

Nah, he can’t hoop. That’s my dog, though, but he can’t hoop.
