Jalen Hood-Schifino is yet to play an NBA game but unfortunately has already landed himself in some trouble. He was drafted 17th overall by the Los Angeles Lakers and just in some days has already made it to the headlines with LeBron James. Jalen Hood-Schifino sent out an honest but unliked reaction relating to LeBron James’ age and that has brought him under the heat.
During the introductory presser of Jalen Hood-Schifino, a reporter told him that he was just a week old when the Cleveland Cavaliers drafted LeBron James in 2003. Replying to this shocking information, the rook called LeBron James old. Jalen quoted: “I saw that … and was like, ‘Dang, LeBron’s old!’” This response of his didn’t age well with the fans and he was humbled by them.
But Jalen Hood-Schifino never wanted to disrespect LeBron James and that was just a reaction of his where he messed up. To clear the dirt off of his name, Hood-Schifino sent out a public apology for his misunderstood comments via Instagram. In his story, he wrote: “I would never disrespect LeBron. He’s one of the best players to ever play this game and I’m blessed to be able to play alongside him! If anything, I’m giving him praise for what he’s doing at his age.”
Lakers’ rook Jalen Hood-Schifino is a smart man as he tried to get out of trouble easily. So his relationship with his new teammate, LeBron James isn’t spoiled. Also, the King can be the least bothered by the comments of a rook. But unfortunately, the rook is still being trolled on the internet and this time for his apology. The young guard is paying the price for his comment and the Bronsexuals are now clowning him.

The internet is never disappointing. And, this time on the receiving end we have rookie, Jalen Hood-Schifino. The fans are clowning the life out of him for publically apologizing after calling LeBron James old. Many are also making hilarious claims like the LeGM getting him shipped away if he didn’t do that. The Los Angeles Lakers believe in Jalen Hood-Schifino and his future. They see him pairing up with Austin Reaves in the near future. The former Indiana guard is full of talents and has a deep bag where at the size of 6 foot 6 inches he can dominate the mid-range game.
Also, he’s capable of guarding multiple positions and is a strong ball-handler which can have a direct impact on the team once he starts to ball out. We will get to watch a glimpse of his greatness in Summer League next month.
