“If he cannot outplay his opponent, he resorts to playing dirty” Al Horford’s sister calls out Draymond Green over ‘dirty’ play in Game 2
Draymond Green, Derrick White and Gary Payton II
Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors was criticized on Twitter by Anna Horford, sister of Boston Celtics center Al Horford, for “playing rough” in Game 2 of the NBA Finals at Chase Center. Jordan Poole, the Warriors’ third-year guard, was also mentioned. After a chirpy exchange with Celtics player Grant Williams in the first half, Draymond received a technical foul, and then got into it with forward Jaylen Brown shortly after.
This isn’t the first time Draymond Green has been referred to as a “dirty” player!
In Game 2 of the NBA Finals, Draymond Green came out aggressively for the Warriors, and he was engaged in a handful of chirpy plays in the first half of Golden State’s 107-88 victory against the Boston Celtics. The first incident occurred when he got mixed up with Grant Williams in the first quarter, resulting in a technical foul. Green then fouled Jaylen Brown after he contested a 3-pointer late in the second quarter. Green’s legs ended up on top of Brown’s head as they both tumbled to the ground. Green’s strategies worked on Sunday, whether Brown liked them or not.
Jordan Poole following Green’s footsteps?
After getting tangled up with Derrick White, Warriors teammate Jordan Poole barely escaped receiving his own technical foul. The Celtics guard attempted to leap over Poole, who lifted his arms and tripped White. Poole was given a technical foul at first, but it was overturned following a review. Anna Horford, Al’s sister, was not pleased with the series of plays and resorted to Twitter to accuse both Green and Poole of dirty play. It is great news for the Warriors if Jordan Poole is actually following in Green’s footsteps.
