LeBron James has had quite the run so far in his career. The King became world wide sensation at a very young age for the insane athleticism and dominance. As a senior in high school, he was putting up nearly 30 points per game with ease as he drew the attention of basketball scouts and enthusiasts all over the country.
Now as he plays for the Los Angeles Lakers entering his 20th year in the league, the Akron, Ohio native has accomplished levels that reach beyond any other. Bron is on the verge of breaking the All-time scoring record held by former Lakers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Bron-stans are only going to witness some of the best basketball they have ever seen over the next few seasons.
Allen Iverson says LeBron James is “THE ONE”
In 2003, the NBA welcomed LeBron James to the family as one of the former greatest players of all time had hung up his jersey. That player was none other than Michael Jordan. Several people have accused Mike of retiring out of fear LeBron would make him look less of a GOAT.
The former Chicago Bulls superstar was a dominant force to be reckoned with. He averaged a career 30.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. He won several accolades including his 6 NBA titles, 5 league MVP awards, 6 NBA Finals MVP awards, 10 scoring titles, a defensive player of the year award and many more. Mike possessed attributes that made him the perfect storm.
However, LeBron James has been equally incredible in his own way. Of course he has played more seasons comparatively and has won significantly less compared to MJ. But his dominance has prevailed for two decades and his longevity has proven he can go farther than most of us expect. The former 4x champion has also showed great ability to accommodate skills into his game over the years.
Former MVP Allen Iverson recently revealed his true feelings towards this ongoing GOAT debate. “As much as I love Michael Jordan, LeBron James is the ONE,” Iverson said with the expression of adiration in disbelief on his face. The former Philadelphia 76ers point guard had played during both eras and infamously tackled Jordan to the floor with his killer crossover. If it were someone who knew the real answer to the GOAT debate, it would be him.
