Devin Booker is back in the NBA headlines and unfortunately, the reason isn’t him balling out or recording another big-time game. Instead, it’s the early exit of the Phoenix Suns from the post-season. As in the Western Conference Semifinals, they lost the series 4-2 against the Nikola Jokic-led Denver Nuggets. Devin Booker throughout the series has had his moments but when it was the time to shine and keep his team’s season alive he just disappeared.

The Denver Nuggets have now advanced to the Western Conference Finals, while Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and the rest of the Phoenix Suns team pack their bags for the long summer. Not many expected the Suns to lose against the Denver Nuggets since they added KD to the lineup. But unfortunately, it is what it is and the Suns now would have to make some hard decisions in the post-season. As the team chemistry, especially, around DeAndre Ayton isn’t just good.

The Denver Nuggets wrapped up the season for Devin Booker and his team with a blowout win at 125-100. Just like last season once again the Suns have turned out to be disappointing while defending their season in do-or-die situations at home in the semis. The only thing that changed is the team. As this year Nikola Jokic-led Denver Nuggets got the job done and past season it was Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. Both the games were strangely blowout losses for the Suns. The Nuggets led by as many as 32 points over the Suns during their final match-up.

In the game, Devin Booker was limited to only 12 points, 8 assists, and 1 rebound. Kevin Durant also got only 23 points and 5 rebounds and assists each. Unexpectedly, it was Cameron Payne who had them alive in the battle as he contributed with 31 points, 2 assists, and 6 rebounds. But none of that was enough against the Nuggets. As Nikola Jokic registered another triple-double by dropping a 32-point bomb against the Suns, getting 10 boards and 12 assists.

The Joker was backed by Jamal Murray (26 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds) and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (21 points, 3 assists and 5 rebounds). Devin Booker didn’t just have an embarrassing night but also washed all the greats he recorded in the post-season so far. As the Suns now are out of contention. Booker didn’t even address the media after the season-ending loss and now he is getting heavily trolled by the fans.

The fans are showing no mercy while clowning D-Book for not addressing the media. As they have brought back the “fake tough guy” narrative which was started by Luka Doncic. As last year, Luka Doncic after game 5 loss on his way to the locker room yelled: “Everybody tough when they up” and then completely destroyed the Suns. The Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets are the new rivals in the West. The entertaining series has come to an end with the Suns getting eliminated. Booker did everything and anything he could possibly do but failed to show up when it mattered the most. The future of the organization with some veterans, coaches, and players is uncertain. During the series the team showcased their bad chemistry and the management would like to fix it up during the summer.
