“Waiting for Russia to make a move” Amidst Brittney Griner’s rising suffocation, Joe Biden administration busy in only offering deals
Brittney Griner at the trail in Russia
The United States of America has been facing development in favor of their ideologies, but unfortunately for Brittney Griner the future still seems very dull. The WNBA Star has been locked up abroad for over half a year under the brutal authorities of Russia.
In the US, efforts have been made to get her out of prison but progress is very minimal. The ones responsible for this is the Joe Biden Administration that is currently in power of the White House. The authorities have been heavily criticised for hardly putting an effort to bring BG back home.
Amidst this chaos, Biden recently passed a huge law for cannabis consumers.“I am announcing a pardon of all prior federal offenses of simple possession of marijuana,” he said ahead of the midterm elections. Now, this does not mean they the drug is fully decriminalised as age and marketing restrictions of the substance is still under regulation.
Brittney Griner’s suffering continues while Biden seeks a solution
Last month, President Biden made a personal visit to the Griner and Whelan families. This meeting was more or less a plea from the government’s side for more patience from the families as they try in finding a solution to help Brittney Griner get an early release.
So far, the offer made was a prisoner exchange involving a convicted illegal Russian arms dealers named Viktor Bout, for BG and Paul Whelan who was accused of espionage. The Russians have no yet agreed to the offer put forth by the US government.
Brittney Griner has told her family about his condition over at the Russian Penal Colony where she is put up with several other convicts. The Phoenix Mercury superstar said that she is mentally unwell and fears for her safety. The star will have to serve nine years in prison if nothing falls into place.
