Andre Iguodala and Andrew Wiggins

Andre Iguodala is one of the most important pieces the Golden State Warriors have this year. He may not be that good of a player option for the franchise but as a veteran, he surely is the best they can have. In Game 3, of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics, he gave the fans a glimpse of his importance to the team. As he was seen emphatically coaching Andrew Wiggins on the sidelines and he really can. As he has seen it all. Andre Iguodala has been to six straight NBA Finals, won a Finals MVP award, and has three rings. So he knows how things work and what adjustments are to be made and when. So when he saw his boy Andrew Wiggins struggling out there he was ready to help and do the most he can.

Obviously, Andre Iguodala as of now due to the injury list and aging body won’t be able to suit up and go head-to-head against the young Boston Celtics team. But his role as a player-coach can surely get the work done from the sidelines. Last night he tried his best to get the Warriors going as he tried to coach and boost up the All-star game starter Andrew Wiggins during the third quarter. But it didn’t age well as the Golden State Warriors fell on the losing end and even the emphatically mid-game coached forward was limited to only 18 points, 2 assists, and 7 rebounds.

The game was so far the best game of the series as both the teams had many unreal runs and everything came down to the last quarter. The Celtics built themselves a good lead and had the game under good control for the first two quarters. But the Warriors bounced back in the third quarter as Stephen Curry got himself 15 big points and they at one point were also leading the game after being down by 18 points. But the fortunate stretch didn’t last long enough to win it all.

As the Jayson Tatum led Boston Celtics got the dub. The Celtics didn’t give up after the third-quarter run by the dubs and stayed locked in holding down the Warriors to just 11 points in the fourth quarter which eventually won them the game. The final box score stands at 116-100 favoring the Celtics a 16-points embarrassing loss for the Dubs. The Boston Celtics now lead the finals by 2-1. All the efforts of Andre Iguodala and Stephen Curry were just washed away with the loss. But Game 4 will surely be more interesting as the battle continues.
