“It’s a business and that’s KD” Andrew Wiggins on potentially being traded from Kevin Durant-Warriors reunion

Andrew Wiggins found himself amidst a lot of criticism when he joined the Golden State Warriors in 2019. As being the former one number overall pick, he was given high expectations to meet to begin with. The Canadian native was a big asset on both ends of the court but was barely utilised well.

The Minnesota Timberwolves had in carrying the team offensively averaging 19.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assist per game through his career with them. He was swapped for D’Angelo Russell who played for the Dubs. The team saw Wiggins as a good replacement for Kevin Durant unlike the rest of the world.

The Warriors returned back to the top of the NBA last season by winning their fourth title in six years. Of course, their titles hope were also heavily questioned by experts but Stephen Curry helped them silence the haters. The point guard won his first Finals MVP award, but not far behind him was Andrew Wiggins.

He averaged a very useful 18.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game against the Boston Celtics. His defensive side was brought out heavily during the series and it ultimately shut down players like Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown who are offense beasts. Game 6 was his after he finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks including 4 steals. Some believe he would have been finals MVP if it were not for Curry.
