Jayson Tatum and Kevin Durant are making things wild in the Eastern Conference with the round one playoff series between the Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets where the former team currently leads at 2-0 unlike the expectations of the people who felt that the Nets would absolutely dominate the Celtics due to the presence of two major names, one being of Durant and the other being of his brother on court, Kyrie Irving. Things have gotten out of hand, figuratively, just like things have gotten out of the court, literally.

The games between Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets were complicated ones with the pre series assumptions being that the Nets would dominate and the current scenes showing that there is no chance that the team would win the series. Major factors that played the role in fuelling this scenario were the presence of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in the Brooklyn Nets, who were expected to display a marvellous performance and take their team to a comfortable win in the series.

But alas, unlike people’s expectations, the exact opposite happened, Jayson Tatum stepped up for the Boston Celtics, leading the way for his team to get the dub in both the games, with game 1 being a display of his heroics at the very end moment and game 2 being a display of his masterful closing skills as he took over the match in the last quarter.

Sam Amick of The Athletic went out to get opinions of people from the entire NBA to get their views on the matchup between the Boston Celtics and the Brooklyn Nets before Game 3 in order to get a better understanding of the series which the Celtics are leading, but what he got from one of those people/sources is one of the boldest/weirdest/most shocking takes in the sport.

An anonymous Eastern Conference scout just stated that Jayson Tatum might be better than Kevin Durant, calling the former the best player in the series. The scout started off by saying, “To me, if you’re watching the game and you didn’t know who these guys were, I’m not watching Durant (and saying), ‘That’s the best player on the floor.’ I’m not so sure Tatum’s not (the best)”.

Then, in order to make his case strong and decrease the collateral damage, the scout stated, “We are witnessing is Tatum and Brown and that group entering their prime, whereas (Durant) is on the back end of the prime.” Which means that the scout is clearly stating that Tatum is better than the older version of Durant, that being “vintage Durant” and then added, “But, if you gave me a choice of which one I would take from this point forward, it’s not even close to me.”
