In any competitive sport, rivalries are certain. They could be a result of the players’ personal feelings about one another or just a match-up between two players who are as good as each other.

Like any other sports fan, NBA fans also love to see good players compete against each other, which makes the game more interesting to watch.

The Lakers’ center is 9-0 against the Kings’ center, and Sabonis made sure everyone was aware of that. With two minutes left in the third quarter, the Kings had a ten-point lead.

Sabonis came with speed in the paint and found Davis guarding him. Sabonis turned around and stepped in from two different sides, successfully tricking the 31-year-old and scoring with his left hand. The European’s force and speed sent Davis to the floor, shocking fans.

In Davis’ career, the player has never won against Sabonis, and the streak continued today as the Lakers lost 107-120. In the game, AD scored a double-double with 22 points and 10 assists. Sabonis, on the other hand, scored fewer points but had a triple-double with 17 points, 19 rebounds, and 10 assists, as well as the win.

Anthony Davis is not bothered by the record against Domantas Sabonis

The 27-year-old has been consistent against Davis, performing every time the two come head-to-head. The same cannot be said about Davis. However, unlike fans, Davis is not bothered by his record against Sabonis. Before Wednesday’s game, he spoke to ESPN’s reporter Dave McMenamin and addressed the one-on-one against Sabonis.

It doesn't matter to me. I'm all about the team. Wanna get a win obviously as we are two games behind them in the standings. Just be able to close that gap. The one-on-one thing doesn't bother me.
Davis said

It seems as if Davis’ focus during games is not directed toward the player.

The Lakers are currently the 9th team in the Western Conference, two wins away from the 6th-seed Kings. But Wednesday’s loss has dropped the team’s losing record to 31, which is four more losses than the Kings.
