The superstar acknowledged that his teammates contributions have been a big part of this run. He also suggested that the depth of the team could overcome any lapse from any one player.

One game at a time. We were focused on Cleveland. Now we are focused on Minnesota. And just keep going from there. I think just now we moved up to 8th, now we control our own destiny. Just keep stacking, keep building, keep getting better each and every day. One game at a time, and we'll build from that.

The Cleveland Cavaliers, for instance, were just getting everyone back healthy and trying to regain their mid-season form. However, the Los Angeles Lakers were a bit too much for them and took the brunt of one their best defensive performances. The Lakers shot better from the floor and made more consistent defensive stops.

Moreover, their bench made up for an off-shooting night from two of their starters. This is what their star center adhered to when talking about their depth. After finally getting almost everyone healthy, the Lakers are clicking. More importantly, at the right time.

Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers building momentum before the playoffs

In the middle of the season, many questioned whether the Los Angeles Lakers had the squad necessary for them to at least make the playoffs. The questions became louder as the trade deadline came closer. Rumors were aplenty that leading superstar LeBron James was supposedly seeking a move to another championship contender.

Fast forward to today; the Lakers are a different animal. They have almost all their crucial players back and healthy. They have also figured out their best starting lineup after experiments ruined many games in the past. The bench is also contributing whenever their names have been called to aid in this winning streak.

As Anthony Davis said, they are taking things one game at a time, getting better along the way. Next up is a battle against one of the best teams in the West, the Minnesota Timberwolves.
