Anthony Davis and Giannis Antetokounmpo

Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers welcomed Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks to the Crypto.com Arena for what was billed as a must-win game for both teams. Although the Lakers triumphed after an intense game, it didn’t feel like a complete victory as star player, Anthony Davis had an injury scare.

The injury sustained by Davis was a result of a nasty collision with the “Greek Freak” during the second half of the game as the Bucks’ star attempted to score and Davis took charge to guard his run. Thereafter, he felt discomfort all through the game despite being seen by the Lakers’ medical team.

Sore. Couldn’t really move it after that. But, I’ll get some treatment and see how it feels tomorrow.

It will be a bad blow for the Lakers who already have LeBron James ruled out due to an ankle injury that he’s been nursing and also led to his early exit during the Sacramento Kings game. Hopefully, the prognosis isn’t bad for AD as he is quite injury-prone, as the Lakers would need all their players available and fit if they are to sustain a run for the postseason.

Anthony Davis and the Lakers hold on to win against the Bucks

The Los Angeles Lakers beat the odds when they took down the Milwaukee Bucks 123-122 at the Crypto.com Arena last night. The win ensured that the Lakers bounced back from the shock defeat last time out against the Sacramento Kings. It also condemned the Bucks to their second consecutive loss since going six unbeaten.

Anthony Davis had a great game, despite the shoulder injury scare as he scored 22 points, 13 rebounds, and created five assists. D’Angelo Russell was the best player on the court as he led the way with 44 points, six rebounds, and nine assists. Despite the loss, former MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo had a triple-double of 34 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists.

The win preserves the Lakers’ position for a place in the Play-Offs via the Promotion-Play Offs at 9th. Next for the Lakers is a tough home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
