Anthony Edwards admitting to go gamble with $20,000 on blackjack regularly has fans in splits

Anthony Edwards has constantly been compared to the great Michael Jordan. The reason behind this comparison is the similar drive and shot-making that Jordan showed during his illustrious career. But a recent interview by Vanity Fair revealed another notable similarity between the two has fans in splits.

Vanity Fair interviewed Edwards at his home. During the discussion about his growing up and Jordan comparisons, Edwards was not having any of it. He maintained that Jordan is something else. But during the conversation, Edwards reveals that he has taken an interest in blackjack.

He mentioned that he goes to a casino not far from his home in Minnesota. He says to Tom Kludt;

I go in there with 10 to 20k, and if they take that, I’m gone.

This means Edwards will stop if he loses up to $20,000. He will not go chasing after his losses like most gamblers do. The Minnesota Timberwolves superstar seems to have a balanced head on his shoulders.

Basketball fans will find it humorous as that is an uncanny resemblance to Jordan. After all, Jordan’s addiction to winning was evident in his gambling habits. He would make a bet with anyone regarding anything he could think of. Jordan was famously known to go to the casinos in Monte Carlo during the Dream Team preparations for the Olympics.

Edwards may not have the streak of Jordan at casinos for now, as it may be him imposing limits on himself. That is apparent from his comment that he will leave the table if he loses $20,000. Keeping a mature head around gambling is important if one does not want to lose all the money they have worked hard to make.
