A victory was needed from the Minnesota Timberwolves side, and they did manage to do it, continuing their brilliant form in the league. And everyone was pleased with it, right? Well, Anthony Edwards wasn’t the happiest despite their win putting them in firm first place in the Western Conference. And his reasons could be the officiating in their game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In their close 107-101 victory against the OKC in an away match, Minnesota looks like a strong contender for the title – and if fans haven’t put them on their bets, they better, because this inform team looks to bring a lot of surprises to the table. But one of those out-of-the-blue surprises was Anthony Edwards’ words after their win against the OKC, slamming the officials for not playing a fair game from their side.

While talking about the match in the post-game interview, Edwards said,

I don’t know. I don’t know. And Imma take the fine because the refs did not give us no calls tonight. We had to play through every bump, every grab — I don’t know. I don’t know how we won tonight. Big shoutout to my team, big shoutout to my coaches, for sure.

Anthony Edwards was frustrated with no calls going their way despite Chet Holmgren, who made a lot of contact on his dunk attempt, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander hitting Edwards’s arm during his dunk, which wasn’t given any foul. However, all in all, it was a key win for the Wolves who extended their record to 34-14, dominating the Western half of the NBA.

Timberwolves remain on top after their victory against OKC

Anthony Edwards, who was yet again instrumental in their win as he got 27 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds. But it was Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from the losing side who was the star of the night, he contributed 37 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds. But it wasn’t enough for the OKC to get the win.

With the recent win, the Wolves now sit comfortably at the top of the Western Conference, with the hopes of seeing their brilliant form continue, and who knows maybe challenge for the title and bring home the illusive honor to the city of Minnesota.
