Ja Morant’s suspension has not been given a timetable, according to Taylor Jenkins
The Memphis Grizzlies‘ head coach, Taylor Jenkins, said that his star player’s suspension might extend beyond the two games that he’s scheduled to miss, which is bad news for the team and its supporters, addressing the media, “Very tough moment. Everyone knows I’m not going to comment on internal conversations we’ve had as a team with Ja, we’ve had as a leadership group,” Jenkins said.
“That’s what we’re dialoguing about, we’re going to be supportive, but we’re going to hold him accountable as well… There’s no definitive timeline,” he further added. “We’ve said it’ll be at least 2 games, but we’re taking it one day at a time. This is going to be an ongoing healing process, so I can’t comment on what the exact timetable will be because this is not a timetable situation.”
The Grizzlies are getting ready for the playoffs and are looking to advance further in the following rounds, hoping that Ja Morant will recover soon and put the recent events behind him and the team.
