Ben Simmons will now enter his third year of his five years contract which costed around $177.2 million extension that pays him a whopping $35.4 million on the 2022-2023 NBA campaign. Rumors are that it might take Ben forever to return back on court and he will face a lot of criticism regarding the same. Benjamin David Simmons is an Australian professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA. was selected with the first overall pick draft in the 2016 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. After sitting out a year due to an injured right foot, he was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in 2018 and was selected three times to the NBA All-star game. As the result of a holdout from the 76ers following the season, Simmons is the most-fined player in NBA history. After spending his first five seasons with the 76ers he was traded to the Nets where he is yet to play a game for them.
