Ben Simmons is finally back and showing off his greats in the league. As recently, he made his debut for the Brooklyn Nets against his former team Philadelphia 76ers. But unfortunately, we didn’t get to see any on-court drama as James Harden and Joel Embiid didn’t suit up for the game. Ben Simmons though on his day back on the court after 470 days proved some of his many haters wrong and even though the Nets ended up on the losing end. He has made a statement and now will just keep adding more to it.
Ben Simmons in the game dropped 6 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. He also got himself some highlights by showcasing his playmaking skills to the world which many around forgot. During a play he didn’t just showcase his vision but also made sure people get a reminder about his high IQ. And, most importantly he started his new journey with the Brooklyn Nets with a dunk which is now his first bucket. That dunk is special as in the past, Ben Simmons once gave away an open dunk to his teammate and that cost him everything he had at the moment.
The future for the Brooklyn Nets looks great. Even though they lost by 19 points. It was a good day for them. As in the preseason, they experimented with some things and now they know about the direction they are heading towards. Also, their new Big Three of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons looks good as they showcased their chemistry while suiting up together for the first time. And, now from here, they look ahead to only improve and get better as a team. As they have a real shot at the title this year.
