“Privileged white dude born with a silver spoon” Bishop breaks all hell loose in bashing Donald Trump for outrageous comments on Brittney Griner

The Phoenix Mercury’s Brittney Griner is in the news on a global scale. When she arrived in Moscow from New York City a few months ago, she was detained in Russia. The discovery of cannabis oil in her luggage by Russian authorities, which resulted in her detention on February 17 in Russia, caused the situation. This resulted in a drawn-out legal process that has been ongoing for some time. Celebrities like LeBron James, Elon Musk, and even former US President Donald Trump have voiced their thoughts about Griner. LeBron asked the government to assist Griner, but Trump disagrees as he used harsh language and went all out to criticize Griner for her behavior.

Talbert Swan, a respected bishop, most recently added his voice to the vast number of those discussing Griner’s predicament. Swan publicly criticized Trump on Twitter for his remarks. Donald Trump has disparaged WNBA star Brittney Griner as a “potentially spoiled person” who entered Russia “loaded up with drugs” in light of a rumored possible prisoner swap to rescue her from that country. The Biden administration’s offer to swap Victor Bout, a Russian arms dealer, for Griner and Paul Whelan, a former marine convicted on false conspiracy charges in Russia, prompted Trump to make the remarks on a radio talk show on Friday.

Brittney Griner and her detainment in Russia

6 months ago, Brittney Griner was stopped at the Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow on suspicion of having vape cartridges in her luggage that were likely filled with hashish oil. She spends her off-seasons between competing for a Russian basketball club and the Phoenix Mercury. Since her arrest, the WNBA has paid tribute to Brittney by placing floor decals inside the arenas of each of its 12 teams bearing her initials and jersey number. Days after Griner’s arrest, Russia launched an invasion of Ukraine, rupturing diplomatic relations with the West and leading Biden and other world leaders to impose a variety of sanctions on Moscow. She recently pled guilty mentioning it was unintentional but still she can be booked for 10 long years.

Brittney Griner, a centre who is 6 feet 9 inches tall, has been a member of the Phoenix Mercury since 2013 after being selected in the first round by the team out of Baylor University. The 31-year-old was selected in 2021 as one of the top 25 players in league history and is widely considered as the best offensive player in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). She earned a national collegiate championship and the Player of the Year Award in 2012, and since beginning her professional career in 2013 with the US women’s national basketball team, she has won two Olympic gold medals as well as a WNBA Championship.

Bishop Talbert Swan bashes Trump on Twitter

It is no secret that during the past few months, Brittney Griner has attracted a lot of enemies. Donald Trump recently discussed Griner and his thoughts on her predicament. Trump’s remarks were not favorably received by many, and Bishop Talbert Swan tweeted his opinions. Swan and Trump are hardly the only well-known figures to comment on Griner’s predicament. She has received support from prominent NBA players like LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Marcus Smart, and Jaylen Brown.

Brittney Griner’s arrival back to America is still highly questionable because a prisoner swap agreement is being negotiated between Russia and the US. However, they have introduced an irrational demand as the United States has been asked by Russia to include the murderer Vadim Krasikov along with Viktor Bout in the agreement for the exchange of Brittney Griner and Paul Whelan. Those are some very well-known individuals that pose a danger to national security and therefore, it is not yet practicable to foresee or even guarantee her return.
