Blazers’ Justise Winslow shares mysterious tweet on Gary Payton II issue hinting he knows more than public
Gary Payton II was traded to the Warriors, but later it was revealed that he was suffering from a serious injury well before the trade happened.

Gary Payton II and Justise Winslow
In a four-team trade, guard Gary Payton II was traded to his old team Golden State Warriors from the Portland Trail Blazers. However, according to the inside reports, the Dubs discovered that the player had a core muscle injury. Another Blazers player, Justise Winslow, tweeted something that may imply that not everything in the trade was completely disclosed.
In his tweet, Winslow had no caption but had Kermit sipping on tea, a famous meme. The meme famously indicates someone saying, “but that’s none of my business.” It also indicates that while one doesn’t want to reveal, he knows more than someone is revealing. While the contentious trade has been well publicised, it will not be surprising that Payton’s teammate knows something that was not revealed.
Payton, with his defensive plays, was instrumental in the Warriors’ championship run last season. Since he switched teams in the offseason, Stephen Curry and the Warriors have looked like an average team.
Payton’s recent injury is rather serious in nature, and it might put the trade made in jeopardy. It was also suggested that a major injury may keep the guard out for at least three months. In this regard, perhaps Winslow’s message was obvious.
Reports suggest that Gary Payton II was forced to play despite a serious injury

According to sources, Portland was aware of the severity of the injury but chose not to disclose it. According to reports, Blazers medical personnel continued to provide Toradol injections to him for pain relief. The team was reportedly pressuring him to play through the discomfort.
The Blazers’ head coach, Chauncey Billups, responded to the allegations against the team. “Medically we’ve and he’s done everything that he can do,” Billups said. “I always tell people a lot of times like nobody really understands like when you have an injury…I think that that’s kind of where it is with G is like, he’s just trying to get over that,” he added.
It is also possible that both parties were unsure of the seriousness of the injury. But it is also possible that the Blazers did not deal in good faith. The Warriors have the option of revoking the entire four-team trade.
