Boosie Badazz is one of the many names who are furious about the sentence announced for Brittney Griner as it is 9 years long and totally unfair. But he’s the only one who has stepped up and is standing in front with a voice for her and has called out the whole country, United States of America to do something about it. As he believes no one should ever get booked that long for a weed pen. Boosie Badazz though also had a specific name to blame as efforts haven’t been made for Brittney Griner’s situation and that was Vice President of USA Kamala Harris. As being a black woman she hasn’t done much for a fellow black woman yet, the rapper believes.

As the sentence announced is unfair so Boosie Badazz’s hate is understandable and acceptable, since Joe Biden and Kamala Harris who are leading the nation as government are still not able to get their decorated athlete back on American soil who is wrongfully detained in Russia and kept as a “political prisoner”. She has been locked up in Russia since February. As the Russian officials found vape cartridges containing cannabis oil in her luggage at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport (less than two grams of oil). She also has a medical prescription for the oil but that didn’t help her at all.
When Brittney Griner pled guilty in court she clearly mentioned that it was unintentionally done as she wasn’t aware of the laws in Russia. But the Russian court cares the least and has BG behind the bars and wants her punished for 9 long years. Her lawyers after the sentence was announced, in their interviews mentioned how unfair the judgement is and how the court ignored all the evidences and simply did what they want to by accepting everything the prosecutors argued. The ask for her punishment was 9 and half years long but the judge sentenced Brittney Griner to nine. During all this happening around, the American rapper Boosie Badazz bashed off Vice President Kamala Harris on BG’s situation in a viral video.
In the video, Boosie Badazz is discussing the situation BG is stuck in he looks angry and furious about the sentence announced for her. As hating it all out he aggrieved and said: “How the hell this girl get nine years for a weed pen? And the USA ain’t doing nothing about it. You tell me that! If that was Taylor Swift, there’d be a peace treaty right now. They’d be drafting to go to war. For a weed pen! Nine years! What that show for Black women in the United States? And the Vice-President as a Black woman, you supposed to be on the frontline to get that Black woman out of jail! Nine damn years. Y’all f*cked up in this world!”
Boosie Badazz also gave a Taylor Swift comparison to the situation as even he wants her out and knows things would have been different if it wasn’t a WNBA Star but any other celebrity from the country. His reaction has made it to the headlines as fans are respecting his efforts and criticism to the Vice President Kamala Harris for not being the one to get her out as soon as possible.

Boosie Badazz’s critical take has received a lot of love from around as he’s at least trying to do something about her return but still, that’s not enough. As the return of Brittney Griner on American soil is still very uncertain. As Russia and USA are negotiating a prisoner swap deal for their exchange. But the Vladimir Putin government has brought in an unreal demand. Russia has requested U.S.A to add convicted murderer Vadim Krasikov in the deal for the prisoner swap of Brittney Griner and Paul Whelan along with Viktor Bout. Those are some seriously big names who are also a threat to world security. So predicting or even claiming her return is not possible yet. But, Joe Biden has promised the country that he’ll get her back on American soil as soon as possible since even he was furious at the sentence announced for BG.
As of now she’s timed in at a Russian Penal Colony and expected to perform labor, tasks like making clothes, washing clothes and even construction work. She’s just unfortunate to get stuck in this situation where Russia is trying to make the most out of her during their war against Ukraine. As she really is a “political prisoner” from U.S.A who can land them many benefits.
