Curry’s efforts insufficient in Game 1.
The Celtics’ dramatic ending put an end to Stephen Curry’s incredible 34-point run for the Warriors in his return to the NBA’s big stage for the first time in three years. Curry’s six 3-pointers in the opening 12 minutes of game 1 were the most ever in any quarter of an NBA Finals. “You have to give them credit ,they just came in and played a helluva fourth quarter. Ahead of Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
The Celtics were the first team to trail a Finals game by ten points or more after three quarters and win by ten points or more. In these playoffs, they are 8-2 on the road. Boston is chasing a record-tying 18th championship, which would put the Celtics ahead of the Lakers – and it’s only three wins away. Boston hasn’t qualified for the finals since 2010, and their last championship came in the 2007-08 season against Kobe Bryant and the Lakers.
