During Friday night’s game against the New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns‘ star guard, Bradley Beal, suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter. The incident transpired as he landed while attempting a shot.
Even though Beal made a return against the Golden State Warriors in the 119-116 victory, he has been absent for most of the season due to injuries. Disappointingly for fans, the prospect of witnessing their big three playing together, as they had hoped, remains unfulfilled. Beal has been featured in no more than six games for the Suns this season.
During a game against the New York Knicks, Bradley Beal landed on the foot of Donte DiVincenzo after making a three-point shot, resulting in Beal awkwardly hitting the floor. He stayed on the court, showing visible discomfort, and received attention from the Suns’ medical team.
Facing recent proneness to injuries, Bradley Beal has rarely played 60 or more games in a season. His most recent injury, preceding the ankle setback, was a back injury that sidelined him for an extended period.
Phoenix Suns star Bradley Beal is likely to miss a few weeks with his right ankle injury
Beal is reported to miss a few weeks out as the results of his X-ray came back showing he didn’t suffer any major ankle damage. This would be good news for the Phoenix Suns as he won’t be out as long as he did when he sustained a back injury.
In the presence of main players Kevin Durant and Devin Booker for the Suns this season, Beal is expected to offer solid support to their offensive efforts. Currently, this season, he is averaging 14.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists with an impressive 44.9% field goal percentage.
Hoping for inspiration from the trio of Durant, Booker, and Beal this season, the Suns faced setbacks due to various injuries, limiting them to just one game played together. Determined to move beyond this setback, the Suns eagerly await the matchup against the Washington Wizards at the Footprint Center.
