“Couldn’t play for sh*t” Brittney Griner sucked at basketball claims her best friend
Brittney Griner has been a popular name within the basketball community for almost a decade now. The WNBA Star was something the league had never seen before and her talent was pure. She is considered as a legend of women’s basketball based on the achievements she has made over the years.
The honorary WNBA All-Star has been much bigger than basketball especially due to her current situation and for what she is going through. But growing up she was never easily accepted by people around. She was a victim of bullying because of her physical appearance.
But her interests were never always in the sport of basketball. The Pheonix Mercury legend was a member of the Nimitz High Volley Team in Houston. After being recognised for her height, she was asked to try out for the basketball team. Her former teammate Janell Roy said this to describe Griner, “We were like, ‘Yo, you really can’t play!’ ”

Brittney Griner suffers under the watch of Russians
Earlier this year, Brittney Griner was arrested for carrying cannabis oil through airport customs. This is considered as a criminal act in the country of Russia and the athlete faced the worst of punishements. Well over a month ago, she pleaded guilty and was sentenced nine years in prison.
