On Monday, the shoe brand Nike roped in NBA legend LeBron James’ son Bronny James during the endorsement deal with the oldest son of the Los Angeles Lakers star player. Back in 2003, before LeBron was even drafted, Nike signed the 18-year-old sensation to the largest rookie shoe deal in league history at seven years, $90 million. Now Bronny is also included in the swoosh team. Earning just over $12 million a year, James’ rookie shoe deal was the most significant annual salary.

Later Jordan Brand signed NBA star Zion Williamson to a five-year, $75 million contract ($15 million annually) heading into his rookie season in 2019. According to Forbes, in 2015, James signed another historic deal with Nike, landing a lifetime contract with the brand worth $32 million annually.
