After months of recovery following his cardiac arrest in July, LeBron James‘ son Bronny James made his college basketball debut with the USC Trojans on Sunday. It wasn’t the magical story many had hoped for against Long Beach State as they defeated USC 84-79 in overtime. Even so, Bronny’s father, LeBron James, was among the many in attendance who were thrilled to see his college debut.

If you wanted to witness his debut live, it wasn’t an inexpensive game to watch. Officially, the match was sold out. They increased the cost of tickets to unimaginable heights. StubHub was $49,997, Ticketmaster was $20,459, and the Vivid $56,393. This incredible price rise rocked the NBA community and fans. It isn’t easy to imagine a ticket costing $56,393, but that is exactly what happened.

USC declared the game on Sunday at the 10,258-seat Galen Centre in Los Angeles to be sold out. Even though Bronny didn’t win the game, his welcome from the fans was still quite warm, especially considering the seats and the cost of the ticket.

Bronny James thanked everyone in a press conference after the game. He had expressed gratitude to his family, teammates, coaches, and medical staff for their assistance as he recovered and prepared for his comeback to the court. Bronny played 17 minutes as a substitute and finished with 4 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and a block.

Superstar LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers came to support his son’s college debut on Sunday at the USC Trojans vs. Long Beach State 49ers game. On Saturday, Bronny father won the NBA Cup, and it was his first college game since his cardiac arrest. However, many are baffled as to how his son’s seat price is five times that of his father’s.

On Saturday night, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers emerged victorious, winning the first-ever In-Season tournament and becoming the first NBA Cup champions. LeBron had the most expensive ticket for the All-Star Game ($11,123), while his son’s ticket cost $56,393. People are mocking the NBA community and calling this a robbery. This was his first game following his July cardiac arrest incident. He’s still getting back into the swing of things, but Bronny showed flashes of the athletic ability that made him a 5-star recruit for the 2023 class. After the game, he thanked God for the opportunity to return to the court. James’ availability for the forthcoming games is unknown because USC head coach Andy Enfield has not yet provided confirmation.
