Taking it a step further, Brown boldly asserted that Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves were the toughest opponents during the Denver Nuggets’ championship run last season.
Theo Pinson posed a thought-provoking question to Brown, inquiring about his most formidable matchup in the NBA. Brown’s response left listeners astounded as he singled out the Timberwolves, labeling them as the toughest opponent during the playoffs. Surprisingly, Brown expressed that the games against the Los Angeles Lakers posed no significant challenge
Brown said, “Phoenix was our ‘toughest’ series, but I would say honestly, our toughest series was Minnesota. I just, I don’t know. It was just always like that. They just had, I don’t know. It was just something about them. They had good players, like Mike Conley, Pat, Ant, I think that was our toughest series. I mean Phoenix, it was just blowouts each game. All the Lakers’ games were closer; we never felt like losing.

“Ant was going OD though, Ant is next up. Ant is OD. I would say this year the toughest players to guard was Ant and Shai. (Ant was) cooking. Doing everything though. All three levels,” he said.
