“It’s funny cause my wife and I had this conversation; I think it was two days ago. She was like, ‘Are you serious after this contract? Are you serious about retiring?’ I’m like, ‘Yes, I feel very strongly about it,’” Holiday said on the Point Forward podcast.

Jrue Holiday to 76ers? Philly chase former star to pair with Joel Embiid

The Philadelphia 76ers have expressed interest in acquiring Jrue Holiday, as reported by Kyle Neubeck of PHLY Sports. This interest arises in the aftermath of a significant trade that took place on Wednesday.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski stated that the Bucks traded Holiday to the Trail Blazers in a three-team deal that centered around Damian Lillard joining the Giannis and the Bucks. In this exchange, the Trail Blazers also secured Deandre Ayton, Toumani Camara, and draft assets, while the Phoenix Suns acquired Jusuf Nurkić, Grayson Allen, Nassir Little, and Keon Johnson.

Wojnarowski further reported that the Trail Blazers, currently in a rebuilding phase that doesn’t align with Holiday’s age (33), are eager to engage with contending teams promptly for trade discussions involving the experienced guard. Since then there has been news that the 76ers might be the favorites to land Holiday at this point.

The combination of superstars Joel Embiid, Holiday, and Tyrese Maxey would present a formidable challenge for opposing teams. It would equip Philadelphia with playmaking abilities at point guard, on the wing, and in the low post, making them a formidable force that would be tough for any opponent to contend with.
