“I can’t give them the judge until they win one” Byron Scott takes jab at Clippers as Lakers’ little brother of Los Angeles

Former Basketball Player Bryon Scott has taken a dig at the NBA team Los Angeles Clippers. He was recently seen talking about the team’s legacy which is nothing compared to their counterpart, Los Angeles Lakers. Bryon even termed Lakers as ‘big brother’ of the clippers. Byron Scott played for the Los Angeles Lakers from 2014 to 2016.

Byron Scott made an appearance at the 2022 Harold and Carole Pump Foundation Gala in Los Angeles. It was an event where celebrities and sports stars gathered to bring awareness and raise funds for cancer research. There he was talking about the Clippers and the Lakers. He said, “Ehh, they’re alright, “I mean, they’re the Clippers, let’s just put it that way. I’m not gonna give them any props until they win something. Simple as that. What we got, 17? Oh, okay. I just want them to win one. Just one. Then we can talk.”

The LA Lakers have lost 32 of their last 37 matches to the Clippers since November 2012. Yet the LA Clippers are still to win a championship, whereas the LA Lakers have a successfully legacy in the NBA league. Hence, Bryon says that some achievements of Lakers are bigger than Clippers and therefore the Lakers are still the kings of Los Angeles.

Byron Scott shows excitement over LeBron James’ extension with Los Angeles Lakers

In the gala event where Bryon Scott had commented about the LA Lakers and the LA Clippers, he also talked about LeBron James’ extension deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. He was happy that LeBron will possibly retire as a Laker through the end of his career. He added that by signing this deal, the Lakers have got successful keeping the NBA megastar with them for couple of years more. He thinks that the Lakers need some help with defense and their newly appointed coach Darvin Ham will surely find a way out because he understands that defense is the important part of the game which has to be played every night. The LA Lakers will face of LA clippers on 20th October at home in the upcoming 2022-2023 season.
