Caitlin Clark has been setting basketball courts on fire for quite some time. However, the Iowa Hawkeyes women’s basketball superstar did something in a recent game that was especially special.

With 5 seconds to go in the 2nd quarter, Clark was stationary while dribbling the ball when a Purdue University player reached in to foul her. She instantly launched a three-ball and turned back toward the referee to indicate that the shot should be counted along with the foul. What was astounding was that she had already started off with the indication while the ball was still in the air.

What left fans bamboozled is the distance she shot the ball from, and the confidence in her shot that it would go in despite the foul. Clark has already made a name for herself with her elite play. Still, the latest highlight proved especially daunting.

Iowa proceeded to beat Purdue 96-71 behind Clark’s 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists triple-double. The numbers do not do justice to Clark’s domination of the game. It surely does not indicate her confidence when taking a 40-foot three-point shot.

Fans cannot contain their excitement watching one of the best

For basketball fans, gender does not matter as long as they get their entertainment. Caitlin Clark has been providing that aplenty with the WNBA season currently on vacation. Her performances have been so elite that some are even wondering if she is the greatest ever college player.
