To emphasize her point and spark controversy, she donned a shirt featuring Reggie Miller, the Indiana Pacers’ iconic player, celebrating his signature “neck choke” move. It’s a gesture he famously performed when his team triumphed over the New York Knicks in the 2000 NBA Eastern Conference finals.

The TNT analyst and two-time WNBA MVP reiterated her stance, asserting that it’s challenging for an NBA team to clinch a title with a smaller guard as its primary player, it was meant as a slight on Jalen Brunson. She also expressed her belief that his performance in the second round of the playoffs last spring against Miami didn’t match his level of play in the opening round against Cleveland.
