Isaac Okoro claims that Jalen Brunson‘s antics on the court need to be seen by referees as he feels Brunson sells his fouls. The New York Knicks beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 101-97 in game 1 of their first-round series, as Brunson showed out with 27 points. The Knicks take on the Cavs in game two tonight as Brunson and Okoro matchup.

Okoro spoke about Brunson in the lead-up to tonight’s game and said – “Nodding your head back, falling on the ground when not a lot of physicality is used on you.” Despite the Knicks and the Cavaliers shooting a similar amount of free throws and Brunson attempting just 4 of them, Okoro feels his antics allow him to get to the line more often.

Talk to the refs; let them know some of the antics that he might do,” said Okoro when asked about his preparation for tonight while guarding Brunson. Okoro is the starting guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers and will look to slow down Brunson with the help of the referees in tonight’s matchup. The Knicks are looking to win back-to-back playoff games for the first time since 2013.

The New York Knicks have won just one playoff series this century and will look to beat their Eastern rivals for a place in the conference semifinals. The Knicks acquired Brunson last year after they missed the playoffs and he has had an instant impact helping them secure the 5th seed in the East this season. The New York Knicks will also hope Brunson can carry them to the second round.
