Draymond Green and Cedric Maxwell

Cedric Maxwell as of now has got the last laugh in his heated exchange with Draymond Green which started after the former DPOY showcased his dirty side in Game 2 of NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics. The defensive expert of Warriors is one of the toughest dudes in the league and is also crowned as the best trash-talker by Patrick Beverley himself. All that has always been riding with him but recently he isn’t able to back the talk up. As so far he has cost Warriors two games in the series by not showing up and backing his teammates. But his Game 2 performance was great as the Dubs got the dub and Draymond Green got a chance to trash talk everyone and anyone he wanted to and Cedric Maxwell tops his list as of now because they are going back and forth against each other.

After Game 2 of NBA Finals Cedric Maxwell sitting alongside Gary Payton discussed the dirty plays and fouls of Draymond Green. As the former DPOY got into many controversial calls and wasn’t ejected for his play with Jaylen Brown and Grant Williams. Cedric Maxwell riding with the Celtics and taking all those fouls and plays of Green into consideration quoted: “I am going to be as clear as I can. That sh*t Draymond was doing… During the 1980s, he’d got knocked the f*ck out.” The 1981 Finals MVP an ex-Celtic took the situation back to his days as the evergreen debate of the league being tougher back in the days is always liked and talked by many around.

Draymond Green though was quick to respond and fire a shot back as the next day during the media interviews he gave a hilarious response and quoted: “I saw Cedric Maxwell say… One thing that baffles me about the ’80s or ’90s, when basketball was ‘so much more physical,’ is some of the guys that be talking weren’t the guys that were punching people. They act like guys were just walking about the court punching people… But everyone running around acting like they were that. Y’all were getting bullied… Comparing the physicality of the game and everybody acting like they were just the most physical and brutal enforcers, it’s like everybody acting like they shoot the ball like Steph Curry today…” Draymond Green also brought in some names that Cedric Maxwell went head to head with throwing down some punches. But the 1981 FMVP has come back with one of the most savage responses possible as denying many things said he gave away a mouth-shuttering reply.
