“He haunts me more than LeBron, Kobe, Giannis or KD” Celtics fan makes honest admission on facing Stephen Curry in NBA Finals
Stephen Curry
Golden State Warriors marquee 3-Point King Stephen Curry is one lethal weapon for his team, while opponents always pray for his worst possible night. One Celtics faithful publicly revealed that Curry gives him sleepless nights compared to any other superstar from the league.
Golden State Warriors had won 3 NBA titles prior to Stephen Curry’s induction into the league and since then they added 3 more in just 4 seasons. They also had more chances at the title, all thanks to the Core of the team. Stephen Curry in particular though managed to terrorize defenses more than any other player on his team and maintained his status for the last decade. He is the most lethal 3PT shooter to have ever played the game of basketball, shooting above 40% from the range. And with the number of shots he takes and makes – opponents need to vary every possession he has. NBA Analyst and Celtics fan Dan Greenberg indirectly praised the Warriors’ marquee star as he said that Curry haunts him.
Boston Celtics fan Dan Greenberg has recently revealed that he has watched the Celtics face superstars like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Giannis Antetokounmpo in the playoffs, but added that he is more scared of Stephen Curry than any of those aforementioned superstars.
Stephen Curry torching Boston Celtics in the 2022 NBA Finals
Golden State Warriors drafted Curry in 2009 and since 2011 he became the focal point of their offense. Stephen Curry is one of the most unique players and there’s no doubt that his impact on a game goes beyond just his box score. We have seen him annihilate teams with a barrage of 3PT shots in the past. He did it with ease and in 2022 also he made no exceptions.
The Boston Celtics are one of the most decorated franchises in the league history and have won record 17-NBA Titles. They have outdone many stars from the past and as Dan has mentioned Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Giannis Antetokounmpo were victims of their assault. Those stars had a fair deal of success against the Celtics, but as for Dan, they were stoppable. But he sees no weakness in Steph’s game and considers the 2-time MVP as the greatest threat they faced in recent years.
He wrote, “I’ve lived through huge playoff games against prime Kobe, prime LeBron, Durant, and prime Giannis and somehow the anticipation of facing Steph Curry scares me more than any of them.”
Game 4 was a clear indication of what Steph can do on a given night as he erupted with 43 points and shot 50% from the field. Now that the Warriors have a 3-2 lead in the NBA Finals, the Celts will have the task of trying to slow down Stephen Curry and avoiding elimination in Game 6.
Kobe Bryant scored 200 points against the Celtics in the 7-game 2010 NBA finals, while Curry is at 153 points he averages more than Black Mamba. So the fear is real and Stephen Curry will surely do his best to avoid a Game 7. Especially after a poor shooting night in Game 5, Curry might go for a bigger score at TD Garden
The top defensive team in the league found it difficult to stop Stephen Curry so far in the series, as he averages averaged 30.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in 5 games in the 2022 NBA Finals. With such a staggering performance, Steph Curry looks favorite to land his 1st NBA Finals MVP Award and 4th title for the franchise.
