“Andrew Wiggins trade turned to be a goldmine” Charles Barkley applauds Warriors GM Bob Myers for resilient efforts in building a young squad

Charles Barkley has also been humbled up by the Golden State Warriors after they won the 2022 NBA Championship and brought back their dynasty days. Chuck the whole season never had the Warriors even winning the western conference but unfortunately his takes and predictions this year were all wrong. As the Dubs have added another title under their name and were undefeated throughout the postseason. It took them six games to get rid of the defensive experts Boston Celtics, the road was surely tough for them but they remained locked in and got the job done. Charles Barkley though has some serious issues with Dub Nation as the hate between them is very real. But recently, he gave them their flowers and the much-deserved respect while appearing on “The Pat McAfee Show”.
The Boston Celtics hosted the Golden State Warriors at TD Garden for Game 6 of the NBA Finals with hopes to force a Game 7 at Chase Center. But nothing like that happened as the Dubs were ready to wrap it up early and register another title on their name (7th in franchise history and 4th in the last eight seasons). The Warriors ended their season in fashion not only for a successful championship run. But also for bullying and dominating the Celtics at their home.
The game unexpectedly was not at all closely contested but surely a tensed one. The Celtics came in ruling and had a 14-2 lead in the starting minutes of the first quarter but soon it all looked washed and everything started going south. As the Dubs made a comeback and led by 22 points in the game. The Celtics once were able to cut it down to 8 but never were able to chase it down. As Chef just manhandled them everywhere on the floor. The final box score stands at 103-90 favoring the Golden State Warriors.
With the Warriors winning it all and Chef Curry getting his first-ever FMVP many mouths were shut downed. The dynasty days are also back now and everyone around has to respect the Golden State Warriors as they are back in the business and can get it done again and again. Many around know, that they are literally building a dynasty roster out there where talent and greatness will keep passing on. Charles Barkley on “The Pat McAfee Show” gave the right credits to the right man for getting the job done and having the team’s stars glued together for decades.

Charles Barkley has most of the time been doubting and hating on the jump-shooting Warriors team. Which is led by Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson. But now even he knows that they are the champions and they have great chances of repeating it again and again. As he believes the front office has done a phenomenal job in the past years by building a long-term winning roster with many young guns who can dominate the league in near future.
Charles Barkley appreciates Stephen Curry and Bob Myers for the success of Golden State Warriors
Charles Barkley has Stephen Curry listed on the table with Isiah Thomas as the greatest little man and one of these greatest point guards ever. As he finally got his job done all alone and was also a bus driver rather than just riding it unlike KD as Chuck said. Further speaking about the young roster and the way the franchise has managed it all Charles Barkley quoted: “I also think you gotta give Bob Myers their GM a lot of credit. Because you know couple of years ago when they made it to the Wiggins trade it was like Ummm I don’t know… I don’t know a headscratcher. But it turns out to be amazing…the Wiggins trade turned out to be a goldmine. They got him for nothing…”
The Golden State Warriors traded for Andrew Wiggins in 2020 they also got two draft picks with him. In exchange, they had to give away Jacob Evans, Omari Spellman and D’Angelo Russell. He was considered as a Draft bust by many but now he’s an All-Star starter, NBA Champion and a guy a dynasty can rely on for coming years. This postseason he showcased why the Warriors made the right choice and in Game 6 where they won it all. He backed up Stephen Curry (34 points, 7 assists and 7 rebounds) and dropped 18 points, 5 assists and 6 rebounds while also limiting Jayson Tatum to only 13 points, 7 assists and 3 rebounds. Charles Barkley further also discussed the young squad of Jonathan Kuminga, Jordan Poole, Gary Payton II, James Wiseman and Wiggins and how can they carry the Dubs to multiple NBA Finals in the next 4-to-5 seasons. His words made it very clear why it is necessary to respect the GM Bob Myers.
