Shaquille O’Neal has skillfully made fun of his buddy and colleague, Charles Barkley, at every chance he has ever had. Shaq went over and above on Twitter in 2014 to comment on his friend’s “tired-looking” tummy, suggesting that he should just put it to rest on his desk. The legendary Phoenix Suns player responded hilariously when the TNT producers brought up the tweet during a live show.
Before mocking Shaq, Barkley said he was one of the best people he had ever worked with. Barkley mocked Shaq’s distinctive speech pattern before saying that he was trying to raise diabetes worldwide. Everyone in the studio was dying of laughter after Barkley’s hilarious attack.
Charles Barkley said,
If he ever got my bank account, he would just kill himself. Are you kidding, he is in every commercial. Ain't got enough lotion to last the rest of his life.
O’Neal earned almost $292 million in his NBA career, and his net worth in 2023 was a whopping $400 million. Whereas, Charles Barkley earned $40 million in his NBA career and has a net worth of $70 million.
Barkley further added,
Got that cream soda, spreading diabetes all around the world. Got like 50 grams of sugar in one can of that cream.
The brand ambassador for his line of cream sodas is Shaquille O’Neal. It turns out that the “Soda Shaq” series of cream sodas from Arizona Beverage, which comes in flavors including vanilla, blueberry, strawberry, and orange, has already faced backlash due to its high sugar content.
Charles Barkley dropped a chest punch on Shaq O’Neal
Since they were young players, Barkley and Shaq have been great friends, moreover, their special chemistry every now and then produces some really funny situations. Their genuine banter underpins their relationship, frequently leading to brief feuds between the two legends. The rivalry between the two even turned physical in a few instances, such as the one when Charles hit Shaq and fled.
Barkley struck Shaq in 2017 when Diesel shoved his co-host, Kenny Smith, during a program segment. He decided to get his revenge on Shaq because he didn’t seem to find the latter’s behavior amusing. Barkley gave Shaq a clean shot across the chest and quickly fled the scene, leaving Shaq to go after his escaping partner.
On and off the TV, Chuck and Shaq discuss several such situations. Putting everything else aside, they have a friendly relationship and have been great friends, especially when they first met while working together.
When it comes to discussing careers and game analysis, the two, however, are constantly at odds with one another. The two are among the funniest and most beloved TV couples, even though they have had disagreements on several occasions.
