Charles Barkley claims that he spent a single day as a Los Angeles Lakers. Well, according to his story, three hours precisely. Barkley wanted to celebrate becoming a Laker. As his tenure in Philadelphia ended in 1992, the Lakers needed a new star player for their post-Showtime split. After the two sides got together, a transaction was almost completed. Barkley began celebrating by getting drunk, but things didn’t work out.
During his appearance as a guest on Inside the NBA, Barkley shared his story of performing brilliantly after being intoxicated. On January 11, 1992, Barkley experienced a hangover during a game. It was due to his excitement of being traded to the Lakers, which was the cause of celebration.

It was Kenny Smith who initiated the story of Barkley getting wasted before the game. Barkley scored 23 in their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers that evening, but his team ended up losing. Charles Barkley said via Inside the NBA,
Some of the teams I played on I needed to drink. I was playing with some bums.
Barkley claimed he was so eager to leave the Philadelphia 76ers that he celebrated right away, even though it was still lunchtime when his agent informed him that he had been dealt to the Lakers. He, fortunately, was not wasted after a few drinks and was still able to perform admirably that evening.
Charles Barkley finally with his first Social Media account
Barkley didn’t have any social media profiles, but it seems like he does now. Officially announcing the creation of an Instagram account, Charles Barkley announced on social media that he is launching a partnership with Redmont Vodka and that the well-known company encouraged him to open accounts.

Charles Barkley said via video on his Instagram account,
Alright guys, Redmont Vodka has finally got me on social media. You all know how I feel about social media, but they told me I can never be successful unless I go on social media.
Barkley stated that he would discuss basketball and drinking on his new account. However, he made it obvious that he would only communicate with supporters who are upbeat and want to have fun.
Instead of using social media, Charles Barkley spoke up about NBA issues and other subjects on TNT and other shows. Because social media has both positive and negative aspects, Barkley claims he has never used it as he doesn’t want the bad aspects of it to enter his life.
