“That’s a regular turnover like JT” Charles Barkley hysterically disrespects Jayson Tatum during Stanley Cup broadcast
Charles Barkley roasts Jayson Tatum during Stanley Cup Final
The Boston Celtics faltered under the unstoppable force of the Warriors, and Charles Barkley is yet to get over Jayson Tatum’s flop show. The Boston Celtics’ ‘Big 3’ including Jayson Tatum had been marvelous so far, however the Warriors stepped up and claimed what is theirs, their opponents bowed down, and the haters are nowhere to be seen, as the Golden State Warriors clinch their 4th NBA Title in 8 seasons.
Stephen Curry has dismembered his critics, obliterated every hurdle on his way and has led the path for Golden State to rise from its ashes to the their rightful throne. The Golden State Warriors are NBA champions after coming away with a 103-90 victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA Finals at TD Garden last Thursday night.
Shooting over double-teams from the logo, crossing people over and shooting beyond half court, step backs under pressure, runners off one leg from 35 feet, simply the greatest display of shooting we’ve ever seen! In the end, Curry, once again, led the way for Golden State on the offensive end. He finished the series-clinching win with a team-high 34 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, adding yet another chapter to his already storied career.
The rest of the Warriors offered Curry plenty of help as Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson all scored in double figures as well. On the other end, the Celtics were led by Jaylen Brown, who did all he could with 34 points, seven rebounds and three assists, but unfortunately for Boston fans, it wasn’t enough to extend their season one more game. Jayson Tatum still probably has his best basketball ahead of him, but it’s hard to deny that Jayson Tatum just had a rough NBA Finals debut.

”I’m sorry, just joking” – Charles Barkley hilarious snubs Jayson Tatum during Stanley Cup Finals
We’re used to seeing Charles Barkley cracking jokes during NBA broadcasts, but the basketball legend hopped on ABC’s Stanley Cup Finals coverage tonight. Chuck managed to find the time to take a jab at Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum during his appearance, mocking the young swingman for being turnover-prone in the playoffs.
Where does this spiteful response emerge from you ask ? Well Charles Barkley was on any bandwagon but the Warrior’s. It’s simple, Charles Barkley hates the Bay Area and Draymond Green, he prefers the East rather than the West. In the much awaited battle between the Champions of The East and West, Barkley picked the Boston to overwhelm the Warriors, how badly those words came back to haunt him, as the Warriors outfoxed the Celtics in a stellar fashion.
The Celtics weren’t viewed as title contenders when Marcus Smart shockingly called out All-Star teammates Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown for refusing to pass the ball after a November loss to the Bulls. However, the Celtics turned their season around, ending the regular season with all the momentum in their favor. They swept the Nets, beat the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 7 showdown, and were again victorious in a Game 7 match against the Miami heat, but the Golden State Warriors proved to be too hot to handle for them.
This was also due to the fact that Jayson Tatum finished with just 13 points, shooting just 6 of 18 from the field. Boston also committed 22 turnovers, dropping to 1-8 this postseason when committing 16 or more. Tatum did struggle with holding onto the ball during the postseason, committing a whopping 100 turnovers in 24 games, more than four per contest, something that had never been done before. Barkley is a vocal guy, after putting all his words and money behind Tatum and company and then seeing them get dominated by the Warriors, while Tatum flopped the entirety of Game 6, must’ve been bitter for Chuck.
There is one person though who hasn’t been high on Tatum and the Celtics’ chances to return to the Finals next season. You guessed it right, it’s NBA Hall of Famer and “Inside the NBA” analyst Charles Barkley. He said he rates a couple of other teams in the Eastern Conference higher than the Celtics in 2022-23, with the Celtics having a nucleus confined to Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart.
The All-Star forward, Tatum, did help lead the Celtics to the NBA Finals though. Now, he can use that runner-up finish and his turnover issues as motivation to try and win the whole thing next year, working on his turnovers perhaps ?
