Josh Allen stunned with Charles Barkley's coments
Golf bring played by NFL stars in the presence of NBA stalwarts, including Charles Barkley, it doesn’t get any better than this. Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers teamed up against Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes at the Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas, with Inside the NBA‘s Ernie Johnson and Barkley on the call alongside JJ Watt and Trevor Immelman. One of the best parts of The Match has always been the interplay between the commentators and the golfers, who are listening to the commentary live through an airpod and can talk back to them, which resulted in a hysterical and rather unexpected exchange between Charles Barkley and Josh Allen.
The latest edition of The Match on TNT saw four of the NFL’s top quarterbacks go head to head on the golf course without any professionals this time, as what was initially a one-off between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson has become a semi-annual competition with a revolving cast of golfers and athletes.

The Inside the NBA show is one of the leading sports show on television today. While they mainly cover the NBA and basketball, the award-winning show has taken its talents on the golf course.
Speaking over the match between Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers vs Patrick Mahomes, and Josh Allen, there were bound to be some golden moments. And Barkley delivered just that.
This moment in particular had viewers rolling in laughter with Barkley attempting to compliment rising star Josh Allen. Barkley’s choice of words, however, led to a hilarious reaction from the Allen himself. After sinking a putt, Barkley is heard paying a compliment to the Bills superstar about his abilities on the field. In addition, Barkley also seems to be a fan of Josh Allen on the football field. Bu the NBA Hall of Famer didn’t catch the right words to send across his compliments. This left Allen in a moment of shock.
Josh Allen: “I play real fast chuck!”
Barkley to Allen: “I like that Josh, you can slang that thing too boy!”
Patrick Mahomes in the background: “What?!”
Barkley: “it’s a pleasure to watch you throw that thing, excuse me.”
Josh was going to let it go, but you can hear Mahomes chime in with a “what?!” that caused Barkley to double back and say “throw that thing, excuse me” that made Allen break completely. Barkley has a gift for those turns of phrase, as fans of Inside the NBA know very well. The NBA community on Twitter had a hearty time rolling on the floor about this amusing incident
