“Just give me 5 minutes with him…Imma beat your a**, imma beat the hell out of you” Charles Barkley offers unique solution to get rid of hecklers

The Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks series lived up to its hype. With game 4 ending in a win for the Mavericks on their home court, the series will be heading back to Phoenix tied 2-2. But the spotlight, sadly, was not on the thrilling win of the young Mavericks over an elite and experienced team in the form of Phoenix Suns. It was on the incident involving Chris Paul’s mother and wife.
Chris Paul’s mother and wife faced physical harassment from a Dallas fan during Game 4. Chris’ mom, Robin was touched inappropriately and his wife, Jaja was pushed. According to ESPN, the incident was witnessed by Chris Paul’s children who later expressed their ‘discomfort’. A video too has gone viral of Chris Paul being at a young Dallas fan, who was later escorted out along with his family.

Chuck comes up with a solution for trouble causing fans

Fans play an integral part of every sport. In NBA, the spirit of the game revolves around them. Even a bottom seeded team manages to find its strength and challenge the top seeded team for the win, when on home court. But sometimes, they become sources of negativity.
Preposterous acts by fans is not new to the league. There have had been several incidents where fans have thrown slurs, inappropriate gestures at players. They have been despised by teams and players for their acts, especially when they cheer a player going down due to an injury. The acts have not been limited to words only. There have been several incidents where fans have chucked objects at players too.
The league has always penalized players for their acts against fans. Draymond Green was recently slapped with a 25K fine for showing double middle fingers to a group of fans who were cheering over Draymond’s injury and were flashing middle fingers at him. Fans have never been penalized by the league for their acts. After Chris Paul’s incident, the NBA should wake up and take action by penning down rules for fans too. It is important that a decorum and order is maintained so that the spirit of the game can be kept alive in the right manner.
Charles Barkley, however, has different opinions. He believes that hecklers and trouble makers should be left alone on the centre court with the targeted player for 5 minutes. Those 5 minutes will be enough to put the fan in his right place.
When co-host Ernie Johnson asked him if five minutes was enough, the former MVP replied:
“I’m gonna take my time. I’m not gonna beat him up quickly. I’m gonna jab him a little bit then I’m gonna lay the haymakers on their a**.”
Kenny Smith could later be seen mentioning to Charles that his proposal did not have a place in the real world. Meanwhile, in the background, Shaq’s booming voice could be heard egging Barkley:
“I hear you, Foreman! Charles Foreman!”
Barkley’s proposal will not happen, but there’s a good chance some NBA players will readily agree to the out-of-the-box solution.
