The feud between Charles Barkley and Skip Bayless has been going on for a while now. Barkley has demonstrated his aversion towards Bayless since the time when Skip was a journalist and Barkley was playing for the Phoenix Suns. Moreover, he has consistently held negative sentiments toward Bayless.

It is due to his controversial remarks about prominent players in various professional sports and his tendency to link on-court performance with personal lives. This sentiment was exemplified when Barkley appeared on the Dan Patrick show in 2015. The Round Mound of Rebound went so far to express that if he were afflicted by a fatal disease.

He suggested having Skip on the podcast alongside him. Barkley even pledged to physically harm Skip Bayless on live national television. “You know what we should do for ratings? If I get a disease and I’m gonna die, how about you get Skip Bayless in here, and I’ll k*ll him live on national television,” Barkley told Patrick.

These comments from Barkley vividly explained the depth of his animosity towards Skip Bayless and his approach to garnering viewership for his shows. Barkley has reiterated on multiple occasions that Skip offers biased viewpoints on television, often favoring or criticizing individuals based on his personal preferences. This biased approach is something that Barkley finds greatly disconcerting.

Skip Bayless and Charles Barkley have been engaging in a prolonged exchange of words with each other. Barkley even went as far as vowing to harm Bayless physically and recently referring to him as an idiot. Bayless, in turn, hasn’t held back either, extending an invitation to Barkley to join him at FS1 for a debate on “Undisputed.”

Following Barkley’s remark calling him an idiot, Bayless, during an episode of the Skip Bayless Show, challenged Charles to participate alongside him, suggesting that doing so would allow him (Bayless) to ease off on his intense preparation efforts. He humorously proposed that he could let Charles speak first, thereby allowing him to make a mockery of himself.

Bayless asserted that he wouldn’t even need to put in much effort himself, as Barkley’s comments would be enough for Bayless to dissect and dismantle on live TV consistently.
