“Stephen Curry wouldn’t have been able to take that beating from BAD BOY Pistons” Charles Barkley reacts on astonishing Draymond Green’s claim of Warriors beating 98’ Bulls
Charles Barkley and Draymond Green
Charles Barkley made it to the NBA headlines as recently appearing on the “Dan Patrick Show” he fired a shot towards Draymond Green. As the former DPOY claimed the 2017 Warriors to beat the 1998 Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz. Of course, the match-up isn’t possible at least in the universe we exist and it’s just dumb and senseless to compare different teams of different eras. Even Draymond Green knows this as he too mentioned it in his tweet but being a media member of the new media he had to do what media does. So even he got a part of the ongoing comparison between different teams of different times. But Charles Barkley got him weak as he brought in a different take and has probably shut down the defensive expert of the Warriors.
Draymond Green took a shot at Michael Jordan and Karl Malone’s team via his personal Twitter handle and wrote: “I’m watching the 98 Bulls vs Utah in the Finals… I can’t help but notice our 2017 team would’ve beaten these Bulls by a dub and these Jazz by 40 if they’re going to play these brands of basketball. And that’s why it’s dumb to compare Era’s.” The way of playing the game was surely different back in the days and the former DPOY may think he has a chance but the reality can be very disappointing for him. As he forgot the greats of The Mailman and Black Jesus who without a doubt are better than him. He also forgot how hard the league was compared to the one he’s a part of. Back in the days, the refs weren’t ruining the game with fouls, and hard and physical plays were everyday things which if happened today will surely be in the headlines.
So Charles Barkley did his job good by reminding Draymond Green how silly he is to forget all those facts since there’s no doubt about the toughness league had in the 80s and 90s. Charles Barkley brought the “Bad Boys” into the conversation who he has a lot of experience playing against of. The Detroit Pistons were really a menace in the league as their stories live till today and even Michael Jordan struggled against them. So Green calling out the Bulls and forgetting the Pistons was unfair and Chuck now has it done.

Charles Barkley believes the Detroit Pistons would manhandle the 2017 Golden State Warriors as Draymond Green claimed them to be better
Charles Barkley discussing Draymond Green’s senseless tweet with Dan Patrick quoted: “The Warriors, I love what they do, but the little bodies they got, they wouldn’t last in the ’70s, in the ’80s. No disrespect. Think about this. Let’s be realistic. You know how much I love Steph Curry. You think he could take that beating that Michael got against the Bad Boys Pistons? Come on please stop it. I mean the game was a lot physical and these guys are great today… I am just saying when I watched that “Last Dance” first of all I played during that generation. I tell people, when you played against those Bad Boys Pistons, you had to call your family and say, ‘Just in case I never see you again, I want y’all to know we’re good. I love y’all.’ Because those boys are out there trying to hurt people, so that’s the thing you can’t compare.”
Charles Barkley also mentioned how physicality will always stop comparing of different eras and yeah like always his words made sense. As he shut downed Draymond Green’s claim of the 2017 Warriors winning over the 80s and 90s team. Chuck is right with his explanation and we have many stories about the Detroit Pistons and why the league tagged them as the “Bad Boys” to back his take up. As they were the ones who started what Green today is known for, the dirty plays.
