“Celtics in 6” Charles Barkley reignites beef with Warriors fans by making wild prediction for 2022 NBA Finals

It’s simple, Charles Barkley hates the Bay Area and its fans, he prefers the East rather than the West. He was in town in San Francisco as the much awaited battle between the Champions of The East and West, finally begun on 2nd June, with the Boston Celtics storming the Warriors in the 4th quarter, earning a commanding victory of foreign soil. The Celtics set the floor aflame in the final quarter, and came back to defeat the Golden State Warriors 120-108 in Game 1 on the road in San Francisco. Golden State used a third-quarter surge to take a double-digit lead, Boston stormed back in the fourth to win and steal homecourt advantage.

The Golden State Warriors were invincible on their home floor during the 2022 NBA playoffs and for three quarters it looked like they would dominate Game 1 of their NBA Finals series against the Boston Celtics. However, things fell apart horribly over the course of the final 12 minutes of action as the visitors walked into Chase Center and outscored the Warriors 40-16 during the fourth quarter to come away with a 120-108 win.

The talismans for both sides shone bright as Stephen Curry led all scorers with a game-high 34 points while Andrew Wiggins, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole combined for 44 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists of their own. In the end, that was not enough to overcome the performance from Jaylen Brown, Al Horford and Derrick White as the road team was able to steal home-court advantage in Game 1. Al Horford, playing in his first Finals, paced the Celtics with 26 points and Jaylen Brown had 24 points and Derrick White added 21 points off the bench.

I hate the Warriors fans” – Charles Barkley on his beef with the Dub Nation

Charles Barkley wasn’t riding the Golden State Warriors’ bus as they faced the Dallas Mavericks in the western conference finals. The analyst throughout the season backed up the Phoenix Suns to win the western conference but since the Mavericks pulled down the curtains on them, he chose to back them up next instead of the Dubs, and Dub Nation didn’t like this behavior of the former MVP.

This had started a new rivalry between Charles Barkley and Golden State Warriors’ fans as both of them are constantly going against each other and making headlines with their back and forth exchanges. It all got sparked up with Sir Charles chanting “Let’s go Mavs” outside the Chase Center in front of the Dub Nation who wasn’t in the mood to entertain any disrespect as they hit the analyst back with chants of “Chuck you suck”. This debacle has now continued into the NBA Finals, where Barkley is on the Celtics bandwagon and believes they can take it all home.

“Inside the NBA” will not be covering the 2022 NBA Finals, that wont stop Barkley snapping back at his haters, as he has other platforms to call out the Warriors’ fan base. The former NBA MVP was a guest on a recent episode of “The Dan Patrick Show.”, Barkley discussed his beef with the Warriors and his pick to win the Finals, of course he picked the Celtics, here’s why –

“I like the Celtics in 6, I think they’re gonna be too big for the Warriors ,uh, that’s just my personal opinion. I think their depth is probably gonna wear them down so I like the Celtics in six”. Barkley explained, on being further questioned by Dan Patrick, Barkley revealed this-

” I didn’t think the Mavericks could beat the Warriors as I said I just root for them because I hate the Warriors fans… you know the thing that’s interesting, they used to have great fans when they were over in Oakland. I’ve said before I thought when they were in Oakland they had one of the best fan bases in the NBA and now they just got a bunch of jacka***s over in San Francisco, but that never factors in“.

Barkley believes that the fan quality of the team has changed due to the team’s relocation to San Francisco. Barkley has always been known to be a bit outlandish with some of his takes, but he’s never been afraid to double down.

The Dub Nation loved the smoke and the trash-talking continued. Barkley would eventually be roasted for picking the Mavs as they were cooked and roasted by ‘Chef’ and company. However, he did have the ‘first laugh’ as Golden State were stunned by Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Nevertheless, the Golden State Warriors and their fans will have the chance to shut Barkley up by defeating the Celtics in the coming games. You have to love Charles Barkley though, never fails to entertain us !
