The first-round series between the Denver Nuggets and the Minnesota Timberwolves has been a one-sided affair. The Nuggets have been a dominating force all season and were the Western toppers. The Timberwolves, on the flip side, grabbed the eighth seed. While Minnesota has a talented roster, the Nuggets have barely given them a chance to flourish, as they had a 3-0 lead going into Game 4. Nikola Jokic has had a phenomenal season yet again, leading Denver strong.

To people’s surprise, Minnesota put up a great fight and won the game in overtime. Jokic led the Nuggets in scoring by putting up a commanding 43 points. However, in an impressive team effort by the Timberwolves, the game was tied at 96-96 at the end of regulation. Minnesota then added another 18 points in overtime to pick up their first win in this series. Anthony Edwards was the leading scorer for the Timberwolves, with 34 points to his name. The final score was 108-114 in favor of the home team.

Game 4 between the two teams wasn’t on the list of anticipated games. As fans and critics anticipated another win by the Nuggets, many argued that the game was boring. Ernie Johnson and Charles Barkley expressed their boredom during the NBA on TNT show on television. Johnson started the conversation by saying, “Is it just me or does this game need a Red Bull?” Charles Barkley then responded by saying, “I was watching hockey on TBS I’m not gonna lie. This game is boring as hell.”

What is the playoffs scenario for the series winner?

With the Denver Nuggets just one win away from advancing into the Conference Semi-Finals, the playoffs bracket takes shape. In the East, the Philadelphia 76ers have already advanced to the next stage, making them the only team to do so so far. In the West, if the Nuggets advance to the next round, they will play the winner between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Although the series isn’t over yet, not many are expecting Minnesota to win three straight games and come back from a 3-1 deficit. However, the NBA is a league where unexpected things have happened. Therefore, while the probability lasts, no one can be ruled out. On the flip side, it is unlikely that Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets would let the series slip away after dominating the league all season long. Heading into Game 5, we can only look forward to a much more promising game after Game 4.
