“If I did hit women, I would definitely hit you!” 340 lbs giant Charles Barkley terrorized female reporter off-the-record
It is hard to stop the wrath of Charles Barkley even after years of retirement. So, just imagine his terror when the 1993 MVP was on the court. Safe to say, it must be hard for any sports media personalities to put their way forward in front of him. While Barkley was unstoppable on the court, for 16 years, his presence could always be felt even around the most gigantic of opponents.
Many won’t believe but Charles Barkley has more than 20 years of sports media experience under his belt. While someone of his demeanour and stature would be required to talk with utmost ease and respect, Barkley is quite the opposite way around. Be it on Inside the NBA or even outside the studios, there’s no limit to things the Chuckster could say irrespective of who he is talking about or what the subject is, nothing can escape his extravagant sense of humor.
Why did Charles Barkley threaten the reporter in an off-the-record interview?
To turn back the history pages, back in 2019, an Axios reporter Alexi McCammond Tweeted out that TNT analyst and former Suns star Charles Barkley told her something outrageous. The conversation was initially off the record and dealt with Barkley’s preference for Patrick and South Bend, Indiana, the Mayor and fellow presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg.
McCammond in a series of tweets about the incident revealed the threatening comment came after she asked about presidential candidate and former Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick.
That being said, it does feel strange how any personnel could go unharmed after making such claims, yet Chuckster has his own way defined. On the same note, Charles Barkley apologized after McCammond’s claims caught fire and as usual, everyone let the Inside the NBA host slide with it, like his every other absurd comment before that. However, the ‘victim’ did try to expose Barkley even after his apology to make the most of the matter, but was silenced soon after by the NBA fanbase, bringing her racist tweets from the past.
